Hands for Days

I will never tire of watching an infant's joy in playing with their own hands.
The discovery, the sensation, the curiosity, the pleasure, the awe--so much to be done with something that is always with you!
And while the environment always offers appropriate materials, a secure infant whose needs are met and play is uninterrupted will often find themselves engaged with this simple AND complex work that supports coordination and self-discovery.
When was the last time you truly looked at the back of your hand? Felt the squish of your own fingers? Hollered with joy at the beauty of your own body?
